Children & Learning

I believe children learn best through play, and people thrive when they are given the opportunity, support, and freedom to grow.

As an early childhood educator, I believe play is more than something children do—it is how they explore, problem-solve, communicate, build relationships, and make sense of their world. My role is to create environments where children feel safe to explore, take risks, make discoveries, and learn at their own pace, while intentionally supporting and extending their learning.

Leadership

I carry this same philosophy into my leadership. I believe leadership is about being a host, not a hero. I don't need to have every answer. Instead, I strive to listen, bring people together, recognize strengths, and create the conditions for others to succeed. I value honest communication, collaboration, and making sure people feel heard, valued, and supported.

After nearly three decades in Early Care and Education, I have learned that leadership is not defined by a title or measured only by accomplishments. For me, success is knowing that the children, families, educators, and communities I work with are stronger because we worked together.

Families & Community

I believe families are partners and that strong early childhood programs are deeply connected to their communities. Every family brings unique experiences, values, and traditions, and those perspectives should be respected, welcomed, and reflected in the environments we create.

My goal is simple: listen, support, advocate, and create opportunities for others to thrive.

“My goal is simple: create spaces where children can grow, educators can thrive, families feel they belong, and communities become stronger together.”
